Drugs - an argument id like to get across.

ok ere we go. Demi thinks its alright to do drugs like coke and speed and what not.......i disagree.

i don't care if people do it. good for them. not my thing........i know a lot of people that are in to drugs.....close mates...lovely people and it dnt matter to me that there in to it.......i still think its idiotic..and they agree with me on that...but there in to it they enjoy it. fair doos. buuuutt soon as sumone goes round saying drugs are a plus to society...and a plus to any teenagers life..and MUST be experienced etc (effectively promoting drug use)........this grinds the living shit outa me.

don't know what all your opinions on this are...but id like to know.

Well I'm kinda a hypocrite on this arguement. Because in one sense I would go with the whole, 'you only live once' kinda arguement, but on the other hand, I've seen drugs fuck a lot of people up. It doesn't make them bad people but some of the outcomes I've seen haven't exactly been the nicest, and just yehh they deffinately have never made a benefit to my life, I've never taken one but they've destroyed people I've loved, so it's deffinately not something I would get into.

But if other people are into it fair enough, up to them. Different people get kicks out of different things. Some people get it from drugs. Some people like you Kai, get it from music. People like me get it from looking at photography. Etc etc.

Doesn't make them bad people.

yer i agreee....like i sed..alot of my mates take drugs...its the enforcement of the ideal that "drugs are ok" that i despise. if u take drugs......even if u enjoy it..u shud still admit its a bad thing...not an "ok" thing.

The use of drugs sure has lost its meaning . Before it would have been used as a release into another world , to connect with the after life & the spirit world, used for celebratory occasions & some types of communion. For instance when the peace pipe was used to bring people together and discuss situations and exchange gifts under a welcome mellowing feeling *peace* under the influence of the pipe . Of course , I’m not saying people didn’t abuse drugs in the past , of course they did, but incomparable to the scale of today . The uncleanness and purity of where it come from is highly questionable now . The attitude that seems to follow the use of drugs these days carries a very bad stigma with it ,and it’s highly abused . The sources of which people are funding is disgusting .Alas ,I don’t care what people do to themselves, but it’s unforgivable if it has a direct affect on people around you .
